Greetings upon Appointment

I am pleased to announce that I have assumed the position of Lecturer (Independent Principal Investigator) at the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo. I am currently in the process of establishing my research group, the Narumi Laboratory, in the field of Solidification Processing Engineering.

Prior to this appointment, I spent six years at Kyoto University. During this time, I received exceptional support and kindness both professionally and personally, for which I would like to express my sincere gratitude.

Looking ahead, I will devote myself to advancing research of significant academic and practical importance in the solidification, casting, and crystal growth of metallic and semiconductor materials, as well as to the education and supervision of students. I will also strive to contribute to the further development of materials science and materials engineering.
