2026.06.05-06. UTokyo Komaba Research Campus Open House 2026

The UTokyo Komaba Research Campus Open House 2026 was held at the Institute of Industrial Science (IIS).

Our laboratory hosted a poster exhibition, a microstructural observation of Japanese swords, and a tin casting experience.

Selected as a “Featured Laboratory” for the event, we welcomed over 100 visitors to our lab over the two days. We also actively encouraged and welcomed visits from junior high and high school students.

Through this Open House, we hope to have provided a great opportunity to spark an interest in the Faculty of Engineering and the field of Materials Engineering among our visitors.
